Subclavius origin and insertion
Subclavius runs from the first rib to the clavicle.
What are the origin and insertion of subclavius?
Subclavius arises from the first rib and its cartilage, where they meet. It inserts on the groove under the middle third of the clavicle. Its main action is depression of the clavicle. It is supplied by the nerve to subclavius (C5, C6). The attachments, actions and nerve follow Gray (1918).
